Kitchen Inspiration

Well, I cant make any decisions on the exterior until I see the stucco color boards or the roof color charts so I've started to dream about the inside! I have almost everything planned out. LOL (not really) I just see picture I like and save them. But that's progress right?

But since our contractor will be stopping just after dry wall and texture, its up to Nick and I (and hopefully some family and friends ) to get the work done.

this is how I envision my kitchen: (the colors not the shape, the shape of my kitchen is L with the sink in the bar area no island)

I want more of an off white cupboard though and I'll have dark hardware and maybe even some stain in the cracks to antique them.


Our budget doesn't allow for granite or solid surface so I'll just have to make do with laminate/Formica.  We actually are planning on using our existing cupboards and repainting them! That will save us quite a bit! Here is the laminate I have picked out. its called Perlato Granite.

I also want to paint the pantry I have a really pretty gray as an accent piece.

I'll have to wait and see what color of antique white I pick for the cupboards. That's as far as I have gotten for now. I still don't know what the floors will be. I hate tile so I know it wont be that! I am so nervous all the colors wont come together. I am probably going to keep the walls simple for now with a beige just like the very top picture. And I have NO idea what do for a back splash. Do I really need one?
