So last night we had a waterline break in the work site and nick manged to fix it. BUT.. it was only a temporary fix and we called the contractor to make sure he knew. He was more than happy to come fix it but we told him not to because it seemed to be holding. ( i mean we told him not to make and extra trip tonight at 6pm since he was already going to be there first thing in the morning). Nick was going to just turn the water off for the night but forget.. So at 3 or 4 in the morning he realized and jumped out of bed and ran out there to shut if off and of course the line had leaked and water filled the entire floor of the hole. All the wood they were using for the forms were almost under water. OOoPS! Nick called Rusty so he could call of the workers off to let it dry.. So today no progress. just letting the soggy mess dry! Rusty said that its actually good for the ground to be moist when the cement is poured. (i think he was trying to make us feel better. or that it being cooler ground would keep the cement from drying too quickly-my mom says) Well... that pushes back cement pouring hopefully just a day. And we start down this road of building our first home. (hopefully that's it for the bumps!) lol
i took these about mid day so i dont know how much it had evaporated. But hopefully today and tomorrow will do the trick!
